“Steps from Fenway Park”

Nothing special about this hotel except for its proximity to Fenway Park! it is only steps away and one has no choice but to get caught up in Red Sox fever (even if you aren't a Red Sox fan). Hotel is also conveniently located to the Old Town Trolley stop which is the only way to see the city. I didn't get the name of the young gentleman who checked us in, but he was very polite and very helpful. For some reason we received an upgraded room that included two bedrooms which was needed since we were coming from a week away before we ended up in Boston so we had a lot of luggage and needed the extra room for our bags! less

“Fenway location unbeatable!”

I had booked this room 4 months in advance planning for our family outing to Fenway. I must say it was a nice surprise to be quickly greeted with a smile and upgraded to a suite. It was a perfect location to everything we wanted. Easy parking, easy walking & even close
to the T stop to ride closer to
downtown Boston. The room was clean and had a great view of Boston streets near Fenway. I did a bed bug check and found no signs of any non-human creatures. If you don't want to drive and fight Boston traffic you can take the T and be right at check in within a matter of minutes. As for the rate of the room let's be honest Boston is more expensive than NYC. So the price of the Buckminster is fair and more than fair if you want the Fenway location less

“A decent enough place...”

Nothing fancy, almost Spartan, but the room is surprisingly spacious, the prices reasonably fair (especially given its location -- half the price of the more luxurious nearby Hotel Commonwealth), and hey, it's close to Fenway (visible from our room).
I had only one major beef -- the elevator smells horrible. I mean, really really horrible. I assume it's a perfumey disinfectant that might be trying to mask the smells of post-game revelers who can't hold their beer, but boy it smells bad. The rooms are alright, though...just take the stairs... less

“Great price, nothing spectacular”

My girlfriend and i spent our anniversary here this past winter during the largest snow storm of the year. While everything else in the city was shut down, they had a restaurant and bar open by the lobby. The food was very impressive (but also expensive) as well as providing a good selection of drinks. However the waitstaff were EXTREMELY RUDE. We filed a complaint however the front desk didn't seem to care at all, brushing it off while failing to make eye contact. When we arrived our TV didn't work, and it took the maintenance man 2 and 1/2 hours to simply find a remote control for it. The rooms were outdated and didn't provide many luxuries, however for the price and location (right across from Fenway) you can't beat it! less

“Excellent location!”

This hotel was the perfect blend of historical culture as it's an older hotel but we stayed in an updated "superior queen" room. We had a view of Fenway just a block's walk away. The subway station is less than a minute away so very easy to get anywhere in the city. The staff was all very friendly.
